About Me

I am Associate Professor of Engineering at Cornell College. Additionally, I currently serve as the Chair of the Department of Physics & Engineering. My background is in Mechanical (B.S.E., M.S.) and Industrial Engineering (Ph.D.) with a focus in design, human factors, and manufacturing.

I have been teaching college for over a decade. My experience includes all different types of postsecondary education, from community college to large public universities. I also have experience teaching internationally, in both Mexico and China.

The greatest part of my professional career is the classroom. I strive to eliminate the traditional lecture-style education by maximizing hands-on collaborative projects. My students are challenged by solving real-world problems by designing and constructing prototypes using engineering technology.

Outside of the classroom, you can find me writing computer code, designing, or tinkering in the manufacturing lab. I enjoy CNC machining, welding, construction, automotive repair, and building furniture.
